“Makara Samkrama Sooryodayam” is a beautiful song from the Malayalam movie Thaarattu , which was released in the year 1981. This song was sung by the playback singer Ganagandharvan K. J. Yesudas. The lyrics for this song were written by Bharanikkavu Sivakumar. This song was composed by the music director Raveendran. 1981-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ താരാട്ട് എന്ന മലയാള ചിത്രത്തിലെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് “മകര സംക്രമ സൂര്യോദയം”. ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത് പിന്നണി ഗായകൻ ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ കെ.ജെ. യേശുദാസാണ്. ഭരണിക്കാവ് ശിവകുമാറാണ് ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. സംഗീത സംവിധായകൻ രവീന്ദ്രനാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ചിട്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ചലച്ചിത്ര അഭിനേതാക്കളായ ശ്രീവിദ്യ, മണിയൻപിള്ള രാജു, നെടുമുടി വേണു, ബാലചന്ദ്ര മേനോൻ, ശാന്തി കൃഷ്ണ, വേണു നാഗവള്ളി, കൊട്ടാരക്കര ശ്രീധരൻ നായർ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
