Magnetism & Electromagnetism

Presentations | English

We often hear the statement that like poles repel and unlike poles attract each other. Take all the great friendships and partnerships we see now, they all to some extent follow the sand principle. The root of this relation is related to the concept of magnetism in physics. The force experienced by the magnet when they are kept closer is what is meant by magnetism. A similar concept is that of electromagnetism wherein magnetic attraction or repulsion is supplemented with electrical forces. Both are very much related to the field of electricity and the electron theory of matter. The practical uses of these concepts are diverse. Ever wondered how the image of our brain pops up on an MRI? It's magnetism. Have you seen giant cranes lifting huge blocks and structures? It's electromagnetism. Even though they seem technical and complicated, we use them in our everyday life. Seems interesting right? Look out for the upcoming presentation.
