Maarkazhiyil Mallika Poothaal Mannarkkadu Pooram is a song from the movie Ponni. It was sung by K J Yesudas. The music was composed by G. Devarajan with lyrics by P. Bhaskaran. It is a 1976 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Thoppil Bhasi, based on the novel of the same name by Malayattoor Ramakrishnan. M. O. Joseph produced the film under the Manjilas banner, with Balu Mahendra directing the cinematography and M. S. Mani editing the film. M. G. Soman, Adoor Bhasi, Sankaradi, Janardhanan, and Rajakumari play supporting parts in the film, which also stars Kamal Haasan and Lakshmi. Kollimalai Maaveeran was the Tamil title, whereas Kondaraju Koyapilla was the Telugu title. Thoppil Bhaskara Pillai, often known as Thoppil Bhasi, was an Indian Malayalam-language dramatist, screenwriter, and film director.
"മാർഗഴിയിൽ മല്ലിക പൂത്താൽ മണ്ണാർക്കാട് പൂരം" എന്നത് പൊന്നി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ്. പാടിയത് കെ ജെ യേശുദാസാണ്. പി.ഭാസ്കരന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ് സംഗീതം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. മലയാറ്റൂർ രാമകൃഷ്ണന്റെ ഇതേ പേരിലുള്ള നോവലിനെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി രചനയും സംവിധാനവും നിർവഹിച്ച് 1976-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം ഭാഷാ ചിത്രമാണിത്. മഞ്ഞിലാസ് ബാനറിൽ എം ഒ ജോസഫാണ് ചിത്രം നിർമ്മിച്ചത്, ബാലു മഹേന്ദ്ര ഛായാഗ്രഹണവും എം എസ് മണി എഡിറ്റിംഗും നിർവ്വഹിക്കുന്നു. എം ജി സോമൻ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, ശങ്കരാടി, ജനാർദനൻ, രാജകുമാരി എന്നിവർ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, കമൽഹാസനും ലക്ഷ്മിയും അഭിനയിക്കുന്നു. കൊല്ലിമല മാവീരൻ എന്നായിരുന്നു തമിഴ്, അതേസമയം കൊണ്ടരാജു കോയപ്പിള്ള എന്നായിരുന്നു തെലുങ്ക്. തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസ്കര പിള്ള, ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം നാടകകൃത്തും തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തും ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകനുമായിരുന്നു.
