Linux vs Windows OS

Presentations | English

Both Linux and Windows belong to Operating systems, which refers to the interface between computer user and computer hardware. Windows is a licensed operating system by Microsoft Coroporation, which has constrained permissions and inaccessible source code. Windows 1.0, the first version of Windows was released 1985 and has made itself one of the most popular operating systems out there. Unlike Microsoft Windows, Linux is a free and open source operating system based on Unix standards which provides a programming interface as well as user interface compatibility. Linux has access to source code and alters the code as per user need whereas Windows does not have access to the source code.
