Movva Varadaiah (1595 - 1660), popularly known as Kshetraiah is a doyen of Carnatic music. It is said that he got the monicker Kshetraiah owing to the fact that he had visited many a pilgrimage centre and collected stories about them in detail. Kshetraiah belongs to the village Movva is current day Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Kshetraiah’s devotion to the local deity Venugopalaswami, a challenge thrown to him by a devadasi named Mohanangi, and the inception of the Kuchipudi dance form by a contemporary Sri Siddendra Yogi in the nearby village of Kuchipudi—all these had a tremendous influence on Kshetraiah. మొవ్వ వరదయ్య, అనగా కర్ణాటక సంగీత ఆణిముత్యం క్షేత్రయ్య (1595 - 1660). అనేక పుణ్యక్షేత్రాలు, దేవాలయాలు సందర్శిస్తూ వాటి గురించి వివరాలు తెలుసుకుంటూ ఉండటం వల్ల ఈయనకు క్షేత్రజ్ఞుడనే పేరు వచ్చింది. కాలక్రమేణా ఇతని పేరు క్షేత్రయ్యగా మారింది. కృష్ణ జిల్లా లోని మొవ్వా గ్రామం ఈయన జన్మస్థలం. ఇక్కడి వేణుగోపాలస్వామి మీది భక్తి, మోహనాంగి అనే దేవదాసీ ఆడిన పందెము, దగ్గిరిలో ఉన్న కూచిపూడి గ్రామం లో అప్పుడప్పుడే కూచిపూడి నృత్యం సిద్ధేంద్ర యోగి వారు ప్రాచుర్యంలోకి తేవడం, క్షేత్రయ్య పై దాని ప్రభావం, ఇలా ఎన్నో విషయాలు ఈ ప్రదర్శన ద్వారా తెలియజేయడం జరిగింది. పూర్తిగా చదువుటకు ప్రదర్శనను డౌన్లోడ్ చేయ మనవి.
