Laser Scanning Technology In Civil Engineering Construction Projects

Presentations | English

When coming into construction works, laser scanning is a widely accepted technology. The technique is in demand from 2017 and increasing gradually. Also known as reality capture or HDS (High-Definition Surveying), the basic concept is to map a particular area with high accuracy. The main purpose in sites is to get a clarity about each and every corner. The work of 3D laser scanning starts even before building modelling is carried out. The process of scanning is not just done in the beginning of a project, it can help in avoiding conflicts with other systems involved in civil engineering task such as electrical system, plumbing etc. Also helps in error rectification and figure out a solution at the earliest. The laser can capture high detailing which can help in creation of a building record which could be maintained for owners and builders. More information can be obtained from the PowerPoint presentation.
