Presentations | English

Laboratory tests and researches can be interesting and engaging. But it can also be risky and so laboratory safety is important. Familiarity with the laboratory you're working in and always following proper safety procedures can help to prevent or eliminate hazards. Examples of risk factors include high voltages, high and low pressures and temperatures, corrosive and toxic chemicals, chemical vapours, radiation, fire, explosions, and biohazards including infective organisms and their toxins. Safety training, enforcement of laboratory safety policies, safety review of experimental designs, the use of personal protective equipment, use of the buddy system for particularly risky operations etc are some measures that can help to ensure laboratory safety. Safety first, folks! The presentation will equip you with adequate resources.
