Chemparathy is a 1972 Malayalam film written by Malayattoor Ramakrishnan and directed by P. N. Menon. It was created by S. K. Nair, a well-known literary figure and the founder of the Malayalanadu weekly. The film was based on Malayattoor's short storey "Lodge." With the film, Bharathan made his feature film debut as an art director. this particular song was sung by P. Madhuri.
