Kasi Panchaka slokam goes like: Mano nivruthi paramopa santhi Sa theerthavarya mani karnika cha Gnana pravaha vimaladhi ganga Saa kasikaham nija bodha roopa". This means I am kasika, who is the real knowledge of soul, the pacifier of mind, the greatest consolation, which is mani karnika among the holy waters, and which is a clear flow of knowledge, the Ganga. This slokam was penned by Adi Sankaracharya on the town of Varanasi.
