T. S. Muthiah directed and produced Chithramela, a 1967 Malayalam anthology film. It was the first anthology film in Malayalam cinema, consisting of three short films. Prem Nazir, Sharada, Sheela, K. P. Ummer, Kottayam Chellappan, S. P. Pillai, Adoor Bhasi, Bahadoor, and Manavalan Joseph are among the cast members. this particular song as sung by K. J Yesudas and it was written by Sreekumaran Thampi.
