“Padichakallan” is a 1969 Indian Malayalam – language movie, directed by M. Krishnan Nair and produced by A. L. Sreenivasan. The film stars Prem Nazir, Adoor Bhasi, Manavalan Joseph and Pappukutty Bhagavathar in the lead roles. The film had musical score done by G. Devarajan. The lyrics of the song were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. The song “Kannente Mukhathottu Kazhuthoralpamidathottu…” sung by C. O. Anto is very humorous in nature. The song extensively makes fun of the high – profile community. The distinctive quality of this song is unlike the other songs, it is written in the form of dialogues. And Vayalar has taken the liberty so as to include English vocabulary to the song. The creative genius of Devarajan master and the insight of Vayalar Ramavarma in taking such a bold step so as to combine two entirely different languages are commentable.
എം. കൃഷ്ണൻ നായർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് എ.എൽ. ശ്രീനിവാസൻ നിർമ്മിച്ച 1969-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം - ഭാഷാ ചിത്രമാണ് "പടിച്ചക്കള്ളൻ". പ്രേം നസീർ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, മണവാളൻ ജോസഫ്, പാപ്പുക്കുട്ടി ഭാഗവതർ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ചിത്രത്തിന് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി ദേവരാജാണ്. വയലാർ രാമവർമയാണ് ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. സി ഒ ആന്റോ ആലപിച്ച “കണ്ണെന്റെ മുഖത്തോട്ട് കഴുതൊരുൽപാമിടത്തൊട്ട്...” എന്ന ഗാനം വളരെ ഹാസ്യാത്മകമാണ്. ഈ ഗാനം ഉയർന്ന പ്രൊഫൈൽ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റിയെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു. മറ്റ് ഗാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായി സംഭാഷണ രൂപത്തിലാണ് ഈ ഗാനം എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. പാട്ടിൽ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പദാവലി ഉൾപ്പെടുത്താൻ വയലാർ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ദേവരാജൻ മാസ്റ്ററുടെ സർഗ്ഗാത്മക പ്രതിഭയും തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ രണ്ട് ഭാഷകളെ സമന്വയിപ്പിച്ച് അത്തരമൊരു ധീരമായ ചുവടുവെയ്പ്പ് നടത്തിയ വയലാർ രാമവർമയുടെ ഉൾക്കാഴ്ചയും ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.
