K.J. Yesudas sung this romantic song in the film "Paalazhi Madhanam." G. Devarajan composed the music, while Sreekumaran Thampi wrote the lyrics. J. Sasikumar directed and E.K. Thyagarajan produced this Indian Malayalam film, which was released in 1975. This film was based on Komal Swaminathan's stage drama "Perumala Satchi." Prem Nazir, Jayabharathi, Adoor Bhasi and Sreelatha Namboothiri were starred in this film.
"പാലാഴി മഥനം" എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഈ പ്രണയ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത് കെ.ജെ. യേശുദാസ് ആണ്. ശ്രീകുമാരൻ തമ്പി വരികൾ എഴുതിയപ്പോൾ ജി. ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. ജെ. ശശികുമാർ സംവിധാനവും ഇ.കെ. ത്യാഗരാജൻ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഈ ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം ചിത്രം 1975-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. കോമൾ സ്വാമിനാഥന്റെ "പെരുമല സച്ചി" എന്ന നാടകത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം. പ്രേം നസീർ, ജയഭാരതി, അടൂർ ഭാസി, ശ്രീലത നമ്പൂതിരി എന്നിവർ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
