Kadankathakal (Riddles) are small questions that cannot be answered quickly and have a mysterious meaning. Such riddles are popular all over the world, with questions or answers that can not be grasped without a little thought. Riddles are also a literary pastime. It is also known as Kusruthi Question, Azhipankatha and Tholkatha. It was the poet Kunjunni, popularly known as Kunjunnimash, who popularized riddles in Malayalam among children. Kunjunnimash has published several books and collections related to riddles.
