The song 'Kaayaamboo Kannil Vidarum' was performed by Prem Nazir, also called as the Evergreen Hero of malayalam movie industry, in the malayalam movie 'Nadhi'. It was released in the year 1969, whose director was A Vincent and was produced by Hari Pothan. K J Yesudas sung the song and music composer was G Devarajan. The lyrics of the song was written by Vayalar Ramavarma. Important character roles were played by Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Madhu and Sharadha.
മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ എവർഗ്രീൻ ഹീറോ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രേം നസീറാണ് 'നദി' എന്ന ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലെ 'കായാമ്പൂ കണ്ണിൽ വിടരും' ഗാനരംഗം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. എ വിൻസെന്റായിരുന്നു ഈ സിനിമയുടെ സംവിധായകൻ. ഹരി പോത്തൻ ആയിരുന്നു നിർമ്മാതാവ്. 1969-ൽ സിനിമ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. കെ ജെ യേശുദാസ് പാടിയ ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ സംഗീതസംവിധായകൻ ജി ദേവരാജൻ ആയിരുന്നു. വയലാർ രാമവർമയാണ് ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. കവിയൂർ പൊന്നമ്മ, മധു, ശാരദ എന്നിവർ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ പ്രധാന വേഷങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
