"Kaadezhu Kadalezhu" sung by P Jayachandran, P Madhuri and Chorus is from the malayalam movie Oru Penninte Katha. P. Jayachandran is a Kerala-based Indian playback vocalist and classical musician. Jayachandran is most renowned for his seductive voice, which has earned him the title of Bhava Gayakan among the South Indian music community. It was released in 1971. E Moses wrote the script, and K. S. Sethumadhavan directed this film. The music was composed by G. Devarajan with lyrics by Vayalar Ramavarma. This movie summarises the story of a lady, Savithri who becomes pregnant and Thampi disowns her who was responsible for it. Govindan, Savithri's father commits suicide and the helpless Savithri leaves town after giving birth to a child whom she leaves in the hospital.
പി ജയചന്ദ്രനും പി മാധുരിയും കോറസും ചേർന്ന് ആലപിച്ച"കാടേഴു കടലേഴു" എന്ന ഗാനം മലയാളം സിനിമയായ ഒരു പെണ്ണിന്റെ കഥയിൽ നിന്നാണ്. പി. ജയചന്ദ്രൻ കേരളം ആസ്ഥാനമായുള്ള ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ പിന്നണി ഗായകനും ശാസ്ത്രീയ സംഗീതജ്ഞനുമാണ്. തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ സംഗീത സമൂഹത്തിനിടയിൽ ഭാവഗായകൻ എന്ന പദവി നേടിക്കൊടുത്ത ജയചന്ദ്രൻ തന്റെ വശീകരണശബ്ദത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തനാണ്. ഈ ചിത്രം 1971-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. ഇ മോസസ് തിരക്കഥയെഴുതി, കെ.എസ്. സേതുമാധവൻ ഈ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. വയലാർ രാമവർമയുടെ വരികൾക്ക് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ് സംഗീതം പകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്. സാവിത്രി എന്ന സ്ത്രീ ഗർഭിണിയാകുകയും അതിന് ഉത്തരവാദിയായ തമ്പി അവളെ നിരാകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കഥയാണ് ഈ സിനിമ സംഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്. സാവിത്രിയുടെ അച്ഛൻ ഗോവിന്ദൻ ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്യുന്നു, നിസ്സഹായയായ സാവിത്രി ഒരു കുട്ടിയെ പ്രസവിച്ച ശേഷം നഗരം വിട്ടുപോകുന്നു, അവൾ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
