Job Descriptions - Spiritual Healer

Templates | English

Spiritual healing can be traced as far back as the Bible and has always had its adherents. In recent years, it has gained widespread popularity in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Spiritual healers believe that the therapeutic effect results from the channelling of healing “energy” from an assumed source via the healer to the patient. The central claim of healers is that they promote or facilitate self-healing in the patient. However, no scientific evidence is available to support the existence of this “energy,” nor is there a scientific rationale for the concepts underlying spiritual healing. Despite a history spanning over 4000 years, a resurgence of aquatics as an intervention has occurred in the past quarter century. Throughout this history, many different terms have been used to describe rehabilitation that takes place in water. Some of these terms include hydrotherapy, aquatic therapy, spa therapy, water therapy, water gymnastics, balneotherapy and pool therapy.
