Sommeliers are in charge of overseeing wine service, coordinating with winemakers to improve selections, and making wine suggestions to visitors. To be a successful sommelier, you must have a welcoming demeanour, extensive knowledge of food and wine pairings, and excellent interpersonal skills. Finally, a top-tier sommelier should be knowledgeable about the winemaking process, capable of creating beautiful food and wine pairings, and willing to travel.
