"Mediator is someone who acts as a link between two parties engaged or involved in a conflict or a dispute of any nature, especially and most often in a professional environment. Like how the job title suggests, they mediate negotiations between the two parties outside of the court, and hence resolve issues and conflicts. They advice, provide guidance and help bring to light various solutions, thereby assisting the parties in coming to a conclusion on their own. The parties talk and present their problems, where the mediator analyses and examines the issues after which they formulate a sturcture and plan resolutions. A mediator's main set of responsibilities and duties include mediating the discussion in an unbiased point of view, maintaining the dispute with utmost confidentiality and hence suggesting advices and solutions eventually and more."
