A licenced nurse who has completed abridged education and clinical hours is known as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LVN/LPN is responsible for more technical clinical procedures as well as basic patient care. A physician or a Registered Nurse will oversee the work of an LVN/LPN. Under the direction of an RN or another healthcare professional, LPNs offer basic nursing care. The following are examples of LPN responsibilities:Patients' feeding, dressing, and bathing, Patient vital indicators, such as blood pressure and temperature, are being monitored. Bandages are applied or changed, wounds are cleaned, and catheters are inserted. Maintaining patient health records, speaking with patients about their feelings, and relaying concerns to other practitioners. LPNs are trained to deliver medication to patients during their schooling and may pursue additional certification in intravenous insertion and line management. Patients will be monitored, standard checks will be performed, and doctors and nurses will be assisted. To be a good LPN, onr must be able to follow direction and work well under pressure. While staying professional, a skilled LPN has excellent observational skills and empathy for patients.
