Seeing a therapist does not imply that you are "crazy." In some countries, a licence for mental health professionals is known as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Millions of Americans receive mental health and substance addiction treatment from licenced professional counsellors (also known as "licenced clinical mental health counsellors," "licenced clinical professional counsellors," or "licenced mental health counsellors" in some states). Licensed professional counsellors (LPCs) are mental health service providers with PhD and master's degrees who are trained to treat mental, behavioural, and emotional problems and disorders in individuals, families, and groups. LPCs make up a major percentage of the workforce at community mental health facilities, agencies, universities, hospitals, and organisations, as well as in managed care organisations and health plans, where they are employed and covered. Active-duty military people and their families, as well as veterans, are served by LPCs. Intake examinations should be scheduled, and the certified professional counsellor should examine the clients' treatment needs before devising contextually sensitive therapy choices. As therapy progresses, therapist should revisit the recommended length and type of interventions to improve your clients' chances of complete recovery.
