Job Descriptions - Insurance Agent

Templates | English

An insurance agent must generate leads. Hence, he needs to indulge in data collection for better connecting with clients and prospects. Data, in this case, means any information on clients and prospects that is an essential source for connecting with them, contacting them, and best serving them as their agent. An Insurance Agent, or Insurance Account Manager, sells and manages insurance policies on behalf of an insurance company. Their duties include attracting new clients and answering their questions, helping clients choose the best policy and making sure all legal requirements are met. Insurance agents specialise in providing their clients with insurance policies that protect them against uncertain events such as illness, damage, theft, or death. The primary objective of an insurance agent is to sell insurance policies that will meet the requirements of the client. A typical day for a life insurance agent involves actively pursuing potential clients by phone, mail, email, or social media; making presentations to clients or groups; and meeting with clients to discuss long-term goals and coverage options.
