An independent consultant is somone who provides professional advice that helps solve issues and develop calculated ideas and stategies that will help the organisation's health, well being and growth in the longer run. They strive to develop ideas that can improve operations and also finds every scope for betterment. For one to do so, it requires a set of desired soft skills and also good knowledge in the subject field that one is working in. The main set of responsibilities of that of an independent consultant is to effectively and efficiently analyse and identify the course of action within the organisation, to find scope of improvement in the functioning of the same and more."
