On many job sites, the boss or supervisor is called the foreman. If you get a job on a construction crew, the foreman is the person in charge. While the supervisor in an office, hospital, or school has a totally different title, in manual labour it’s common to use the word foreman. A foreman is responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly at a construction site. They are responsible for being the point of contact between the construction workers and supervisors. Some of the jobs titles that a foreman could grow into are construction supervisor and construction manager. An electrical foreman is a specialist who manages other electricians to ensure that they properly install, repair and maintain electric systems and power lines. Aside from their supervisory work, electrical foremen assist with the electrical work when needed. Foreman is (management) the leader of a work crew while manager is (management) a person whose job is to manage something, such as a business, a restaurant, or a sports team.
