A field officer is someone who actively does the collection and accumulation of data. The acquired set of data is later used for purposes like research or related operations. They carry out surveys and collect data from one entity to the other. The data collection could be for several various subjects ranging from health and safety, behavioural sciences, advertising and social sciences to geography, climate change and business development. Not only do one require the necessary set of hard skills for the job but also a certain set of soft skills to excel at it. The primary set of responsibilities and duties of that of field officers are accumulation and recording of data, calculating and formulating the collected data, conducting inspections through sample collection, reporting on each feature and more.
