"A development director is someone who develops initiatives and plants events and strategic programs so as to raise fund. The director not only engages in the process but also is responsible of overseeing the entire proceedings and operations related to the initiatives and events. The primary target is to raise funds in the most efficient and productive manner while also making it cost effective. Development directors do not moreover engage themselves in the activities of fundraising. While the team raises funds, communicates and maintains relationship with other donor organisational members of several different departments and comes up with various pitches for events, development directors oversee every move and ensure that they are going according to plan and with utmost accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.
