Job Descriptions - Dental Insurance Coordinator

Oversees the daily schedule and operations of the clinic, supporting patient care for both the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs; coordinates the assignment of patients; tracks and facilitates patient appointments. Respond to patient inquiries by phone and email. Perform data entry and filing to record patient and insurance data. Confirm insurance coverage with insurance companies by diagnostic and procedural codes. Schedule appointments and procedures and verify insurance information. The Insurance/Collections Coordinator assists patients with insurance benefits and communicates with insurance companies regarding claims. Works with patients to resolve financial challenges and maintains a healthy aging accounts receivable. An individual must fulfill each essential duty as listed below to perform this job successfully.
