A day porter is responsible for making sure your building looks professional, clean, presentable and inviting at all times, but especially between routine cleaning and maintenance activities. Clean common areas like kitchens, cafeterias and patios. A porter, also called a bearer, is a person who carries objects or cargo for others. The range of services conducted by porters is extensive, from shuttling luggage aboard a train (a railroad porter) to bearing heavy burdens at altitude in inclement weather on multi-month mountaineering expeditions. Day porters are responsible for making sure a company facility looks neat and presentable to the public. They help uphold the image of a facility by performing basic maintenance tasks including trash removal, front lobby support and restroom restocks. A day porter can handle these day-to-day duties that are needed to help keep your building safe, inviting and spotless at all times.
