The medical field would not be complete without the dedicated service of Nurse Anesthetists or CRNAs. CRNAs or Certified registered nurse anesthetists practice in a growing field of healthcare and many work independently. CRNAs collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, dentists, and other professionals while overseeing the use of anaesthesia in medical procedures. They are advanced practice nurses responsible for administering anaesthesia and monitoring patients during surgeries and other medical procedures. Due to their specialized skill set, they are experts in critical care and airway management. These individuals provide a wonderful service to the medical facilities in which they work and the patients in which they provide services. The path to become a CRNA is not always easy but well worth the hard work and dedication to receive an education. CRNAs are so valuable because they provide the same level of care as anesthesiologists do. Medical facilities prefer to hire CRNAs because they are more cost-efficient and their level of skill is superior.
