A clinical nurse specialist (CNS) is a registered nurse with advanced practise who has a master's or doctorate degree in nursing. They analyse, diagnose, and treat patients based on their knowledge. However, their function frequently extends into other areas, such as health care management and research. Clinical nurse specialists are allowed to conduct tests, make some diagnosis, provide basic treatments, and, in some areas, prescribe drugs. Aside from that, they may give knowledge and assistance to a nursing team. They frequently assist in the development of organisational practise adjustments and strategies to guarantee the group is implementing best practises and providing evidence-based treatment. CNSs are trained to identify flaws or deficiencies in health care. They may offer consulting services, engage with patients and their families, monitor treatment, plan and execute initiatives, and assess overall health-care delivery.
