They are the face of the organization for the customers to interact with. They are responsible for enhancing the productivity of this team. Client managers serve as liaisons between a company and its clients, ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction. They also manage client relationships, develop account plans, and deliver proposals. What makes a good client services manager? Listening skills, to understand exactly what customers require. Problem-solving skills. Confidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy, when dealing with difficult situations. Motivational skills and an ability to supervise and lead a team of customer service assistants. Aspiring client relationship managers typically need a bachelor’s degree in communications, business, English, or public relations and 2-5 years of experience is often required. Certification isn’t required, but is voluntarily available through professional organizations.
