The set of technical and procedural fundamental functions and systems that analyses, stores and accumulates the entire data provided by the organisation and its functioning is what is what is referred to as Business Intelligence or BI. BI is the technological process of data mining and other processes like descriptive analysis, process analysis and performance benchmarking. Using these data and basic information stored, the system generates reports and other information with the help of which the employees make improved decisions and draw out better solutions. Now, these solutions and decisions are applied to the functions and operations of the organisation, thereby supporting and contributing to the betterment, growth and further success of the entity in the longer run.
