Audiologists are health care experts who diagnose, examine, and treat hearing, balance, and other neurological system abnormalities. An audiologist works with patients of all ages, from babies to the elderly. Selects, fits, and dispenses hearing aids and other listening equipment. Aids in the prevention, detection, and management of hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance system dysfunction by delivering and fitting protective hearing devices and teaching patients on the effects of noise on hearing. A doctor of audiology (AuD) degree is necessary for all new audiologists. This post-graduate degree typically takes four years to complete. The vast majority of students admitted to AuD programmes hold a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders. Audiologists have a very professional job. As a result, a normal four-year curriculum provides them with a variety of classroom, research, and learning opportunities.
