Making of a movie involves services from hundreds of thousands of cast and crew members. When the director of the film controls the creative decisions, the job of coordinating the cast and crew is relied upon assistant film director. He/she is in charge of all departments and ensures whole team is working on schedule. Basic knowledge of every single department in the set, effective communication and delegate task to each department heads are major job roles.
