In the absence of the director of nursing, an assistant director of nursing (ADON) is in charge of the nursing staff and the quality of patient care. The ADON is in charge of supervising, analysing, delegating, and evaluating nursing duties, as well as ensuring patient comfort and care. Under the leadership of the director of nursing, an assistant director of nursing is responsible for providing excellent care to patients, overseeing nursing activities, and guaranteeing the patients' comfort.
