A gunshot that made headlines in every newspaper in the world is not easily forgettable. The JFK assassination took everybody by sheer shock, on a dim Friday in the year 1963, November and thus the President John F Kennedy bid a sorrowful goodbye to his people and the world. The funeral took place in Dallas, Texas. With family and a huge crowd to witness him as he left. Representatives from over 90 countries attended the funeral. The next day after the assassination, former Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, took over the office of the President, after which he declared the following Monday a day for national mourning.
