When we try to understand about Industrial Novels, it can be simply explained as English novels written in the nineteenth century. These were written during the period of Industrial Revolution. These writings also made the workers, politicians and policy makers aware about the lack of quality working environment in many industries of sectors. All novels of those period contributed well to the liberation of workers of the society. Some well known examples can be considered to be the industrial novel written by the writers Charles Dickens and Elizabeth Gaskell. Apart from England, in other countries also this revolution became violent as time passed. In France, the novels of Emily Zola (Novel: Germinal) has influenced in developing social and labour policies. Even nowadays, we have industrial novels being published like less frequently and less influencial. Often these novels were based on a desk research.
