IoT is the acronym of what? The Internet of Things, IoT, describes physical objects, that are embedded with sensors, processing ability, software, and other technologies, and that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet or other communications networks. IoT devices contain sensors and mini-computer processors that act on the data collected by the sensors via machine learning. Amazon's voice assistant Alexa is one of the most comprehensive IoT services, as it can control more smart home products than Google Assistant or Siri. Characteristics of IoT are: Intelligence, IoT comes with the combination of algorithms and computation, software & hardware that makes it smart, Connectivity, Dynamic Nature, Enormous scale, Sensing, Heterogeneity, and Security. The most important features of IoT on which it works are connectivity, analyzing, integrating, active engagement, and many more. The main drawback is that the hackers may gain access to the system and steal personal information. Since we add so many devices to the internet, there is a risk that our information can be misused.
