Every year on July 29th, Global Tiger Day is observed to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by 2022 – was established in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create the day. On July 29th, International Tiger Day raises awareness about the dwindling numbers of the world's largest cats. During meetings aimed at promoting a system for protecting and enhancing the tiger's natural habitat, world leaders focus on the tiger. A hundred years ago, Asia was home to 100,000 tigers. Today, the estimated number reduces the wild tiger population to fewer than 4,000. It is our responsibility to safeguard these precious animal so take precautions and create awareness!
