International Students Day is an annual celebration observed on November 17th of each year. Students are the building blocks of any nation. They are the future generations whose knowledge will determine the country's progress. It is a global day of celebration for the student community that honours multiculturalism, mutual aid, and diversity among students around the world. The original purpose of International Students Day was to commemorate the Nazi German attack on Czech universities, which resulted in the deportation of over 1,200 students to concentration camps and the deaths of many more. The Day is a symbol of students' struggles all over the world.
