Presentations | English

The genius mind behind evergreen songs like “Devasabhathalam”, “Enthinu veroru sooryodayam”, “Varmukile Marivillin” and hundreds more, Madhavan Raveendran or more widely referred to as Raveendran Master was a prominent South Indian music composer and playback singer. Born on the 9th of November, 1943 and brought up in God’s own Country, master has composed songs for more than 150 south Indian films, mainly for Malayalam and Tamil in particular. The maestro had a rough and poverty-stricken childhood. He met and made a lifelong friendship with the legendary singer K J Yesudas during his time at the Swathi Thirunal Music College in Thiruvananthapuram. Sadly, cancer took him away from the world where he had yet to make headlines with his beautiful tones; by the age of 61, Raveendran Master had left a profound impact within the world of music.
