Interesting facts About Bruce Lee

Presentations | English

There are many facts about Bruce Lee that are well-known: that he was the first Asian-American actor to ever have a lead role in a Hollywood film; that he was nicknamed ‘Little Dragon’ (he was born on the Chinese Year of the Dragon, on the Day of the Dragon, and on the Hour of the Dragon, after all). Bruce Lee was renowned for his martial arts prowess and helped popularise martial arts movies in the 1970s. Lee starred in films such as Tang shan da xiong (1971), Jing wu men (1972), and Enter the Dragon (1973). Lee is often credited with changing the way Asian people were presented in American films. Though Bruce Lee did not appear in commercials during his lifetime, Nokia launched an internet-based campaign in 2008 with staged “documentary-looking” footage of Bruce Lee playing ping-pong with his nunchaku and also igniting matches as they are thrown toward him.
