Arundhati Roy's Arundhati Roy is an Indian author, political activist, and human rights crusader best known for her Man Booker Prize-winning novel The God of Small Things, which was published in 1998. Her full name is Suzanna Arundhati Roy. She grew up in Aymanam, Kerala, and wrote about it in her semi-autobiographical book The God of Small Things. Arundhati received the Cultural Freedom Award from the Lannan Foundation in 2002 for her contributions to the ongoing fight for cultural freedom, fairness, and diversity.
