"A R Rahman is undoubtedly amongst the very first few artists that comes into an individual’s mind when music is mentioned. The musical genius was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu, on the 6th of January, 1967 as Dileep Kumar to a musical oriented family, with his father being a film score composer himself. Sadly, he passed when Rahman was just nine years old. He had his mother who was studying and working to support their family afterwards. Although he used to play the piano since he was merely 4 years old and would therefore assist his father in the studio, it was in school that Rahman started showcasing his musical calibre.
