This is a song from the movie “Mayor Nair”(1966). The song “Vaishakhapournami ravil, vellinilavin palkadalkarayil sankalpagandharva nagaram theerkum... swapnasakhi, swapnasakhi..." "was penned by the legendary lyricist Vayalar Ramavarma and the music composed by LPR Varma. The voice was of P Jayachandran. The movie was released under the banner of Kalpana Productions and produced by PA Thangal and directed by SR Puttanna. The film was distributed by Kalpana Pictures. The movie was released on December 24, 1966. The movie is an adaptation of the English novel "The Mayor of Casterbridge" authored by Thomas Hardy". The malayalam translation was done by noted writer Dr. SK. Nair. In the movie, the protagonist Krishnan Nair goes on to become the Mayor of Madras who subsequently gets killed by an unidentified person.
