ISRO is the acronym of what? The term Universe refers to everything within the Cosmos – planets, stars, galaxies, light, and even the vacuum between these entities. The universe is everything. It includes all of space and all the matter and energy that space contains. The Indian Space Research Organisation is the national space agency of India, headquartered in Bengaluru. It operates under the Department of Space which is directly overseen by the Prime Minister of India. The prime objective of ISRO is to develop space technology and its application to various national needs. The design and development of satellites and related technologies for earth observation, communication, navigation, meteorology, and space science is the main objective of ISRO. ISRO maintains one of the largest fleets of communication satellites (INSAT) and remote sensing (IRS) satellites, that cater to the ever-growing demand for fast and reliable communication and earth observation respectively.
