What is the importance for industrial relations for employees and employees? The answer is simple. The primary objective of industrial relations is to maintain and develop good and healthy relations between employees and employers or operatives and management. Good industrial relation helps in effective utilisation of man, money and material. Improved employee morale, industrial peace, recognition of employee’s interest and reconciliation of employer’s and employee objectives and interest increased production with minimum wastage of resources. A good understanding between employees and employers is important to reduce industrial disputes. A positive relationship between employers and employees leads to higher motivation and employee engagement. The purpose of great labour relations is to establish and strengthen the employee and employer relationship. It also refers to a field of study that examines these types of relationships, especially groups of workers in unions. The employers are represented by management and employees are represented by unions.
