Presentations | English

A factor that represents the quality of a country is its literacy rate. Surveys talk that the rate is increasing gradually but still women are far behind in getting education. Even public female educational facilities are not bringing out female to become literate. According to UNESCO, more than 36 percent of the whole world's illiteracy lies within India. From place to place, there is difference in educating people. Some areas don't have better facilities whereas some others give no importance in getting educated. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan are backwards while Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttaranchal have high literacy rate. Major causes are illiteracy within parents who don't give prominence for education, lack of affordable educational system, unemployment of the literate, lack of getting aware about being educated and of course poverty, with low wages no parents can afford to provide their children with studies. Interesting facts about the topic can be understood from the presentation.
