This drama song is from the very famous play titled “Mudiyanaya Puthran,” which was staged in the year 1956. Later in 1961, a film was released with the same title, which was adapted from this play and written by Thoppil Bhasi. The film was said to be one of the best social movies in Malayalam, which boldly told the real life struggles of workers, and projected social evils like untouchability etc. This drama song was beautifully sung by K.S. George. The song was composed by G. Devarajan and written by O.N.V. Kurup.
