Human Rights

Presentations | English

Are you aware about your rights? Human rights are the basic rights that belong to all of us simply because we are human. They include key values in our society such as fairness, dignity, independence and respect. Most importantly, these rights give us power and enable us to speak up and to challenge poor treatment from a public authority. These are the basic rights and freedom that belong to all people in the world, from birth to death. For example, the right to health is one of the most important, yet overlooked. Human rights are not simply granted by any state. These universal rights are inherent to us all, regardless of nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. Human rights are a set of principles concerned with equality and fairness. They recognise our freedom to make choices about our lives and to develop our potential as human beings. They are about living a life free from fear, harassment or discrimination.
