Human resource planning is the process of analysing and identifying the need for and availability of human resources so that the organization can meet its objectives. The focus of HR planning is to have the right number of human resources, with the right capabilities, at the right times, and in the right places. HR planning requires knowledge of expansions or reductions in operations and any technological changes that may affect the organization. Employee retention is defined as an organization's ability to prevent employee turnover, or the number of people who leave their job in a certain period, either voluntarily or involuntarily. Increasing employee retention has a direct impact on business performance and success. Employee retention efforts may include employee training, internal promotion opportunities, issuing bonus, and improving workplace policies and procedures.
